Afternoon Tea with Rox, Argyll Arcade

Lots of beautiful flowers were lovingly created by us for a special event in conjunction with Rox the Jewellers, Argyll Arcade. Afternoon Tea was held in the wonderfully named Thrill Room last Sunday and we were 'thrilled' to be involved. Ruby and Dawn were there to speak to all the wonderful couples who were in shopping for their special wedding rings. The event is also taking place this coming Sunday 3rd April, make sure all brides to be pop in for some gorgeous inspiration a la Ruby Flowers!

Beautiful blossoms

We are totally in love with blossoms at the moment, we have had a gorgeous selection of them in the shop over the last month and we've been chatting about the lovely Cherry Blossom tree's at Kelvingrove Museum which are absolutely stunning at the moment!

We love the rustic look of it together with some herbs, hyacinths and the wooden crates. A simple yet gorgeous combination.

Also a favourite of ours are the little Muscari plants. Simple and understated, a gentle way to bring spring indoors.

These Black and white pictures remind Ruby of her time in L.A. years ago, as seen in a gallery when she was staying there. Lovely to find things which take you back to a time and place... x x

At the moment, we here at Ruby Flowers totally love Gypsophilia used en masse, as in these gorgeous pictures of the Alexander Wang store in NYC. Gypsophilia is back and we love it ! Simply beautiful on its own - we've got it in store now - use it en masse as a statement piece.

Also, come and see the gorgeous new selection of Vintage 50s perfume bottles Ruby found on her travels. Perhaps an idea for that special Mother's day gift... x

i know a blog without pictures is a wierd thing..but i will post pretty pics in the morning. I'm not long home, has been a bit of a long day, not in a weary way as Lesley and I were kept busy all day, we make these really lovely bouquets, posies with sprigs of blossoms, frilly blooms for our customers to send for all different reasons..it's lovely...and the smart & sassy Suzie calls in to tell us of some, great new work she's got for us...the shop shuts and I'm off to teach my class, and once again I marvel at the natural world of flowers,...the students are doing great, succesfully mixing textures and materials, paying attention to detail... revel in the feast of spring flowers..xxx
